Paternal grandmother was also a mess herself. An iron-lady who raised 7 children single-handedly when her husband decided to leave her for his mistress. Up until senility set in she was a bitter old lady with helpful intentions and a superiority complex for the books! Senescence was quick for her. She went from a walking, talking, sound of mind individual to bedridden in under two years. As of 2 January 2015, Madam K returned to the heavens. The family was told her soul would not be reborn. And that she's occupied an almost unattainable place in heaven.
Peter Pan
A friend J has known since kindergarten and has been occasionally close to (funny right? occasionally close to). Sweet, nice, kind and deceptively naive looking! He is the gay version of the porn star that can act like she knows nothing about sex and give one heck of a blowjob! All this aside he is definitely a friend indeed because he will offer a shoulder to cry, and drop by to give you warm hug. He listens and gives emotional support. He talks with such genuine empathy and parts his thoughts ever so considerably. He will be your biggest cheerleader for your pursuit of something you're good at and would be the best insult thrower at your enemies. A fine human being and a wonderful friend!
Mr. P
Ah... Mr. P; the whole reason Just Me picked up again in 2010. Mr. P was J's roomie for 18 months. The man J fell hopelessly in love with. The straight man who pursued J for some intimacy. It was Mr. P who made the effort to befriend J having "lovingly" coerced J to move into his dorm room (which was empty because both his roommates left to stay off campus). Mr. P who confided in J all his sad stories, dark secrets, family issues, personal issues and whatever not. J began to harbour feelings for Mr. P, but nevertheless, J never made advances that suggested anything more than friendship. One alcohol driven night soon changed all that. Mr. P made sexual advances, and lo and behold, reciprocation; something J never received from the people he had feelings for. Mr. P never let go of J thereafter and it was 6 months of intermittent torture and surreal happiness. Soon Mr. P fell in love with Confused Gal which presented another set of complications. J thought that was finally the end of his torture, that Mr. P had finally found himself a girl and that J could finally move on with his life. However, the relationship between Confused Gal and Mr. P was so complicated that it further f**ked up what was already a huge confusion between J and Mr.P. At the end of the year and a half, after Mr. P's graduated, J left Mr. P for good after making significant efforts to patch Mr. P and Confused Gal up which was futile. Mr. P lost his mom to an illness and his brother to an accident in December 2012 and in June 2014 respectively. J decided to visit him to lend some emotional support after the brother passed away which was good for J because that finally proved to J that Mr. P is now nothing more than a past.
