This is almost deja-vu of a post.
The very same thing happened last year early on.
Out of the 5 items on my 2016 checklist, #4 was,
"Travel out of the country again."
Very akin to last year's situation, it was the thing I was most apprehensive about.
I didn't know how I was ever going to make it work but lo and behold, I was offered a chance to go to Thailand representing the university.
Here's the thing;
I just got back from the trip!
And it was better than my previous one!
The people were friendlier (it was a different state I visited). The food was simply amazing, not only because there isn't a place there that doesn't serve pork (although that is reason enough for me, hehehe), but also because they don't hold back with the intensity of their flavours. To top it off, we were housed in a beautiful hotel!
I met so many friendly faces. I saw so many wonderful sights and I learned so much about Thai culture I didn't already know.
This time I even managed to sneak in a taste of some alcohol...
Ah... I miss it all already...
Did I mention the trip was all paid for?
And although I did spend 2000 baht on food, souvenirs, and some frivolous shopping, half of it was allowance money I got for the trip...
