I am elated! Finally the faces I drool over would have matching bodies too!
As for Diwali 2012, nothing eventful but two incidents did occur.
First, mom and I visited a home for orphans. Bearing hand-me-down clothing still intact, some of which were never worn, chocolates, and cash. I only wish I wasn't so sentimental about children without parents, enough to frequently visit them.
And yes, the name missing from my blog post resurfaced. Of course I am talking about Mr. P; a name which I had made clear would still pop up in my life.
Mr. and Mrs. GE and the brother called to wish me a Happy Diwali and invite me to Peaceful Suburb for the festivities. Mr. P did too only when he did, I had a houseful of guests. And several times more on the first and second day of Diwali. As usual he wanted to meet up and invited me to his grandmothers place too. Strangely, in the past when I used to avoid him, the reason I'd most often cite is "busy la..." (an utter lie). This time around however, the text messages I received from him weren't replied and phone calls weren't answered, coincidentally enough because I was, in fact, busy! Entertaining guests or in a movie or something.
So Happy Diwali 2012 Hdaran!!! Let this masters degree finish already!!!
Soon enough Christmas would be dawning upon us.
Can't wait!
Maybe Cookies and Cakes would be kind enough to whip up some eggnog; which I'd gladly take with an extra generous splash of rum!
